Common-sense from Tariana!

So, Labour's backdown overt the transport component of the Emissions Trading Scheme has not only alienated the Greens, but now the Maori Party is threatening to pull its support as well - http://www.nzherald.co.nz/section/story.cfm?c_id=280&objectid=10508741. It's not often that this writer will dish out compliments to Tariana Turia, but she's right on the money when she says:

"Asked if it would continue to support the scheme, Maori Party co-leader Tariana Turia said: "It's looking as if we won't. The Government can't go round promising or telling people one thing and then backing down because it's election year. You either genuinely believe this needs to happen and you've got a strategy to address the issues around climate change, or you haven't.""

Kia ora Tariana! In one sentence, you have exposed the Hollow Woman for the hypocrite that she is. Kia kaha!

Tony, I agree. Turia is nailing her colours to the mast as a politician of principle, and, in an acceptable and long-range attack on Helen herself, Tariana is now able to mete out the revenge she so justly deserves against Helen 'I flip-flop-when-it-suits-ME' Clark.
COnfuscious he said: 'If you sit by the river long enough, eventually the bodies of all your enemies will float by.'

As I said in the post Lee, it's a rare day when I praise Turia, who often makes outrageous claims. But on this occasion she is spot on, and Clark is made to look increasingly flaky.
