Given we're only a few months out from a general election, & Labour's performance in the opinion polls, why is Helen Clark spending so much time overseas..?
1. Is it a last harrar on the tax payer before she walks off into the sunset? 2. To avoid John Key in the house? 3. Or some important official business?
Clark is probably our most widely traveled PM ever. I reckon the trips abroad give Helen a sense of importance her ego craves.

Good question nx - maybe she needs to keep her international profile up in anticipation of a post-election job offer.

More likely she's looking for a bolthole that will refuse to extradite.
I for one certainly won't be pre-spending any tax cuts, especially when promised by Michael.

I'm planning on spending the $100 per week I'll get from Bill English's mini-budget in November!
Perhaps she wants the airpoints - just in case a change of Government sees some privileges to ex MPS or even ex PMs curtailed.
