Now, Mallard was one of Labour's "heavy hitters" during the Electoral Finnace Act debates. And we all know about his other "heavy hitting", culminating in a court appearance last year. Clearly, if even a senior Cabinet Minister can fall foul of legislation his own Cabinet drafted, then the law is an ass, as are the lawmakers.
And now doubt there will be a few Exclusive Brethren, famously described by Mallard as "chinless scarf-wearers" who will smile at the irony of the Minister who demonised them when they broke no law, once again having legal difficulties of his own!

They keep doing it to themselves don't they? Do you think they are so stupid or merely beyond caring? I have blogged a selection of readers' comments from The Herald about the EFA on MWT - I find it interesting that there is a cross section of ex-Labour voters of both genders and more female than male commenters who are heartily sick of Labour's tricks. It really is becoming farcical isn't it?
Farcical doesn't even begin to describe it Lee - it's the own goal to end all own goals; it's the gift that keeps on giving; it's every cliche you could think of! I know it's a long way out from the election, but I'm picking that Labour is going to get routed this year - and a richly-deserved routing it will be - they'll only have themselves to blame.
Whatever the mallard wrongly does doesnt change the fact that the Exclusive Brethren are rightly discribed as the "chinless scarf-wearers " that these cult members are .
