It was billed as the Final Crusade - especially for Robbie Deans - and the Crusaders gave him a fantastic send-off tonight winning 20-12. A dominant first-half despite conceding two tries and trailing at halftime, and a heroic defensive effort in the second half set the Crusaders up for their victory. In a match that lived up to its billing, the Waratahs put up a brave effort, but the Crusaders were just too good. Keeping the Waratahs from scoring while Brad Thorn was in the sin-bin gave the Crusaders a crucial pyschological advantage. A HUGE game from Richie McCaw, and Kieran Reid has surely played his way into the All Black #6 jersey.
