What the public thinks

Online polls are one thing, but the growing use of online comments is quite a good barometer of public opinion. So what is the public saying about Cullen's "Old Mother Hubbard" budget? Check this out:

I'm sick of hearing of the plight families and those on low income, sick of hearing the government focusing on these groups. What about the people who have not got a family (or who have delayed having a family and being careful about the size of their family), got off their butts when young, got a good education, got a good job, and for all this pay the bulk of the tax take as a "reward"? 15% of people pay 60% of total tax. Among these 15%, those with a bit of nouse, and who can, will leave this country.

So it goes.

Key was on Radio National promising to rebudget before Christmas, a $100 tax cut with a cash rebate back for this year!

Now that's policy!

Yay!
