Some questions about unions..

Which New Zealand union spent $237,364 supporting Labour's 2005 re-election campaign, then reported a $218,000 deficit to its membership for the 2005/06 year?

Which New Zealand union was investigated by the police after the 2005 election over electoral advertising irregularities? The police became involved following a complaint from the Chief Electoral Officer.

Which New Zealand union received a warning for their illegal activities, even though the the police found "there appear to be sufficient grounds on which to base a charge"?

Which New Zealand union is likely to be the subject of a complaint to the Electoral Commission over website breaches of the Electoral Finance Act, and will past breaches and warnings by the police be taken into account?

The Service and Food Workers Union. Have you had to resort to flicking through the back issues of Investigate magazine? Oh dear.

Who cares about the source of the information--if it's correct.

kg, It was just a little gentle ribbing about rumaging through yellowing back issues of Investigate. I'm sure that Wishart gets a few facts right in amongst all the hyperbole and baseless innuendo.

Heh - this is trick question: all of them

All unions should be disbanded. Members or ex-members of unions should be banned from civil service or public appointments (yep including teachers & nurses).

It's pretty damn clear why.

No anon - not a trick question at all, and Jafapete was dead right - it was the SFWU - but no back issues were consulted!
