ETS announcement imminent

Just heard on the 2pm radio news that the Greens are expected to make an announcement this afternoon as to whether or not they will support the ETS legislation.

I guess that this is make-or-break time for Helen Clark's "legacy" legislation. Has Heather Simpson been able to stitch together a deal, and who has compromised what? Are the Greens still a party of principle, or are the Greens too close to the 5% threshhold to be able to be principled? Have Winston Peters's problems been made to "go away" in return for his unwavering support? And bottom line, what is the Climate Change (Emissions Trading and Renewable Preference) Bill REALLY going to cost us?

Watch this space!
