The Prime Minister's "official" biographer (or should that be hagiographer?), Dr Brian Edwards, that's who! Among other things the wise and neutral Dr Edwards
* questions the independance (and by extension the integrity) of the National members of the Privileges Committee
* urges the Serious Fraud Office to quickly resolve their investigation into NZ First
How convenient. Dr Edwards' musings are similar, very similar indeed to those of his good friend, the Rt Hon Helen Clark. So do we expect a letter tomorrow from Dr Peter Davis, or will some other luminary be pressed into the Prime Minister's service. And is the PM herself, trying to influence the Court of Public Opinion?

[blockquote]It is inconceivable that any of these "judges" could find in Mr Peters' favour, since the leaders of both National and Act have already publicly condemned him as untrustworthy at best. The committee is hopelessly compromised. Its finding will, therefore, amost certainly be inconclusive, leaving the question of Mr Peters' guilt or innocence in permanent limbo.[/blockquote]
Dr Brian Edwards' conclusion indicates there is a pre-determination by the other MPs on the committee to find in Mr Peters' favour.
I was hoping someone might spot that. The good Dr is so busy slagging off the Nats, that he fails to see the fault of his argument. Then again he IS Irish!
