It's about trust - #9

This morning's HoS editorial opines on the possibility of Labour forming a coalition government, even though it may be far from the most preferred party.

National has promised a binding referendum on MMP - isn't that a reason to trust them?

Only if the pre referendum process is educative not PR driven and the question isnt framed to favour FPP, National's preferred outcome.

What on early? Why?? Frankly I think National is once again showing their pathetic weakness by promising a referendum. Especially in these harsh economic times, there will be brutal decisions to be made: much more than 1991 or even 1984.

The experiment of MMP is a failure and must be terminated immediately. Labour has shown the way by changing the constitution without a referendum: now National must act.

* remove MMP and replace it with geographical proportionality
* switch to a 7 year parliamentary term
* set up a permanent anti-corruption comission
* eliminate Labour and NZF parties as corrupt
* ban unions (or at least ban them from any political involvement)
