Did we really need to know that the cockpit voice recorder of the Air New Zealand A320 showed that the pilots were screaming as the plane hit the water off the French coast?
Five New Zealand families are still grieving. Could not the New Zealand media have reported this with a little more sensitivity?

My exact thoughts when I saw the headlines. What do these people want us to become, totally inhuman so they can sell more papers??
Agreed.
Ditto.
No argument here either!
Because the MSM is run as business units with all the usual corporate crap of KPI's and management speak, any humanity has been removed.
Short term bottom line focus is a long term recipe for failure.
It's pretty crass all right.
This egregious piece of insensitivity dragged me away from the pool as well IV2. I have posted at no minister on it.. We seem to be shedding decency like layers on an onion in this country.
A skunk is better company than a person who prides himself on being "frank"

And just when I am about to get on an A380 to go to the UK to play golf at St Andrews!
Inconsiderate buggers.
Sorry, have to disagree.
The fact they were screaming is hardly surprising... hell I would be!
.. it helps to give an indication of how out of control the plane was - paints the picture.
Now that I understand how dire their situation was - I really feel for the air crew.

That makes it okay then!
Did you think it was less dire than plunging into the sea and dying?
Barnsley Barn:
Well, it's quite common in aviation accidents for people to be unconscious when the plane crashes. In the Mount Erebus tragedy the pilots weren't even aware.
A better choice of words would've been - I now feel even worse for the airicrew.
