TVNZ is reporting that a "very high-profile" prisoner has been murdered at Paremeoremo overnight. The dead con's lawyer has been asked for comment but has declined.
So who is it? Anyone care to speculate? Somehow, we reckon that Graeme Burton will be involved, one way or the other.

UPDATE: TVNZ just announced that it's Antonie Dixon - his lawyer Barry Hart has confirmed the death, and the Police say they're not now looking for anyone else.

Who-ever it is, it is no great loss.
I agree Alex - a saving for the taxpayer.
Well thats saved the tax payer a big chunk of money that would have been otherwise spent on keeping him fed and watered for the rest of his life.
Barry Hart won't be very happy though - there was another appearance at sentencing to come, then a whole new appeal process, then maybe another trial - man, all that Legal Aid dosh he's going to dip out on - and in a recession too!
So the Question of the Day:
Who would you rather it have been?
a. Dixon?
b. Burton?
I’d have gone with Dixon, mainly because of the trial coming up.
Can I pick:
c. Both?
That’s being greedy Inv, although I’d be surprised if Burton didn’t have a few more “adventures” inside.
He even probably makes claims that people have apologised to him for nothing.
The funniest thing I heard in the last few days is how he (Dixon) believed he had an IQ as high as Einstein and Mozart - that he was extremely clever. haha, I can't see one clever thing he did in his entire life (perhaps apart from topping himself)
He's done everyone a favour including the tax payer who constantly seem to have coughed up for his incarceration and endless bloody trials for something everyone in the country including himself knew he did.
Good job.
