Help please!
Keeping Stock wants to join the legion of blogs that will be participating in the Great Internet Blackout tomorrow. We've been to the Creative Freedom site, downloaded a banner, blacked out our Twitter profile, but have yet to find out how to disable Keeping Stock in Blogger.com without vanishing completely! Can anyone help?

IV2,
I had the same. I'm going to settings / permissions and set my blog to 'blog authors' only.
That way I can see it, no-one else can read it. Test it by signing out of your IV2 account.
Turn it back to 'anybody' on Tuesday.
I would have preferred to leave a header / front page with message but couldn't find a way to do that.
Cheers for that PM - I'll use that as a fallback position unless anyone comes up with a brighetr idea for Blogger users.
Also I wondered if it was possible to set up a parallel blogger account with appropriate message of the day and redirect to it for the duration?
Have not pursued this but may be possible to implement.
Oswald has taken different tack with a black background, but still live.
That is the lead-in. On the day I will set the text to black.
You can do that sort of thing using dashboard -> layout-> fonts and colours and set your text to the same colour as your background.
on Tuesday, click 'revert to template default'
Cheers for that Oswald
select "delete blog" in your dash board settings!
I might be stupid BB, but I'm not THAT stupid!

IV2, have a look at my profile at above address on MOTD blog to see how to redirect. Have just tested - works 100%.
DPF has posted some comments on this as to how to support if you do not have the facility to 'turn off'
I've gone black with Minima Dark template and redirection is active.
See ya Tuesday in full colour.
Thanks Adam - I think I've got it sussed.
PM - have done likewise - the alternative site is set up; now I just have to do the redirection
Frankly I am a little disappointed at your attitude towards my technical advice.
Frankly my dear BB (and with apologies to Clark Gable), I don't give a damn!
I've illegally copied their one and have hosted it here:

What I intend doing is putting the image on at height="8000" width="2000" or whatever - so it blacks out the top of the page and you will have to keep scrolling down to get to where the blog begins. Maybe with a link to the campaign on the image.
Pasting it in the html template right below "body" should do it.
* = the beginning and end symbols that will not come out otherwise (I can't type it or else it will hide it - you know shift+comma, and shift+full stop)
