Honesty from Winston First

Well, by Winston First's standards anyway! Stuff reports that Peter Brown, in standing down as Deputy Leader, said:

"In simple terms, I was very disappointed and somewhat disillusioned with our campaign and the results at the last election, and I couldn't shake that mood off,"

Ever the master of understatement, at least Brown is being realistic. New Zealand First's campaign WAS dreadful. Then again, when your entire campaign is based around a self-serving, xeonophobic hypocrite, what can you expect?

Winston First is a spent force.

This is the same guy who not long after the election was saying that the party was in good heart and bouyed by the support he believed still existed for the party.

As Adam Smith would say: Light dawns. Reality bites.

Good riddance to one of, if not the, most useless and meaningless political parties in the country's history.
