Great headline

Here at Keeping Stock, we are quick to condemn the print media when they trivialise or sensationalise things by means of headlines. So today, we will praise good work!

Our local rag, the Wanganui Chronicle carries a small story on the back page today about the Red Bull F1 team's surprise victory last night in the Chinese Grand Prix. So we send our hearty congratulations to the subbie that came up with this gem:

Bull in a China shock

We love your work!

Good one from the Whanganui Chronicle.

It is "Whanganui" isn't it?

Hmmmm....

Now that you come to mention it though ZT, on April Fools' Day, the Chron published an announcement that they were changing their masthead to reflect the "H" situation, without changing the size of the masthead itself, and that henceforth, the paper would be the....Whanganui Cronicle

The best headline I've seen in recent years was on a DomPost editorial.

No, wait....

It was about the strike Laila Harre was co-ordinating of supermarket workers. A deal had been struck, or so it seemed, and then Harre came out and said no it wouldn't be acceptable.

The headline was 'Why Why Why, Dear Laila?'

Pure gold.
