We smell a rat!

There's an article in the Herald this afternoon, fortunately pushed down the page consequential upon Richard Worth's resignation. Otherwise the lead story on the Herald website would be this one -

The source of the story is one Rhema Vaithianathan - which made us wonder - could she be the same Rhema Vaithianathan in the picture attached to this story?

The answer to that is "yes" - absolutely yes! That's right - the Herald, on the eve of the Mt Albert by-election publishes a highly inflammatory story largely authored by someone who wanted to be Labour's candidate. Oh yes, did we mention that the story is about one of the major campaign issues - the Supercity?

We don't think we need to say anything more about this shamelessly biased editorial decision - but feel free to have your say!

Sounds like a shamelessly biased editorial decision to me. One that could backfire. There are more ratepayers than council staff.

If it looks like a rat, squeaks like a rat, smells like a rat . . .

Good post - this is a prime example of how useful and necessary the b-sphere is - you would hardly have the Herald itself reporting on how it is attempting to influence an election- Mind you, after the hatchet job the MSM have done on Melissa Lee, while leaivng the carpet-bagger Shearer through unscathed, it should be no suprize where their prejuduices lie on this issue and others.
