Green ugliness

We've often heard the Greens referred to as the Watermelon Party - you know, green on the outside, and red on the inside. But today we see a nasty underbelly to the "little party that cared".

Toad is a regular correspondent around the blogs. Normally he's just misguided (in our humble opinion), but occasionally he spouts a bit of nastiness. And over at the Greens' OFFICIAL blog, g-blog, he's been particularly spiteful about WhaleOil. In fact, we reckon that Toad has overstepped the mark, so we're calling him on it.

If Toad is representative of the Greens, then their self-claimed status as the party of principle is nowt more than a fiction.

I don't see anything "nasty" about exposing hypocrisy.

Whale frequently rants on about "bludgers" and the unemployed - and then reveals that he himself hasn't worked for five years.

I'm not questioning the genuineness of the illness he claims prevents him from working (I'll admit the title of the post is a bit naughty - just couldn't resist the pun)- just making the point that he should extend to others the same consideration that which he expects for himself.

I don't understand how it's bludging if it's a scheme he paid into previously?

That's like saying people who use their Kiwisaver deposits to buy a house are bludgers.

You're wrong for this one Toad.

Welcome toad! Nice to have you here, and feel free to visit often :)

The point at issue is that Whale has paid his sues as far as the insurance goes - he hasn't relied on the state for a hand-out, unlike some who blog, or run "news-services".

Inventory2, I didn’t suggest Whale is “bludging”. In fact I’ve never used the term “bludger” in relation to anyone in my entire life.

The hypocrisy is that Whale calls those who are unemployed or unemployable and forced to rely on state assistance “bludgers” while he, also unemployed and apparently unemployable, somehow sees himself as being in some different category because he was fortunate enough to have had the ability to obtain income protection insurance.

He is in a different category, toad, you fucking moron!

If a company doesn't make a profit for a few years, are they bludging?

Are they unemployed?

You're thick as shit!
