We are dismayed to learn that Graham Henry and the All Black selectors have been reappointed through to the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
But we are even more dismayed to learn today that the NZRU made its decision to reappoint Henry Inc in April 2009, three months ago, even though that decision has only been made public today.
We are already preparing an e-mail to NZRU CEO Steve Tew and Jock Hobbs, the NZRU Chairman. We will post it as a separate post when it is complete. Meanwhile we urge anyone who shares our discontent and dismay to do likewise - here's the e-mail address.
This will not however affect our support of the All Blacks. We're still black to the core, and always will be, despite the ineptitude of the NZRU.

The latest Herald Poll asks - will Henry, Hansen and Smith win the 20011 World Cup.
Just over 600 voters a few minutes ago - 65% say no.
Now to the nitty gritty - how can anyone have confidence in these men.
On Saturday they named a squad that included the well proven incompetent Toeava and have 3 specialist left wingers. Masaga, a specialist right wing, who was more competent than most of the other backs selected on his test debut is dropped. I guess poor old Joe will get stuck on the right wing and everyone will say how badly he is playing.
I rest my case - for the wings anyway.
So as a result:
Colin Cooper will fuck off to coach Japan
Ian Foster will fuck off to coach in England
Old Whatshis face will stay with Wales
And we'll be left with um, Pat Lam or Dave Rennie (or God forbid Glenn Moore) to coach the ABs post 2011?
Fuckin hell. It wouldnt surprise me if they brought back John "Court Sesh Anyone?" Mitchell...
The selection board process that the NZRFU used was the same rubber stamping exercise that the oil co used to steal our franchise. The reappointing of failures that the NZRFU has just done mirrors the oil co again.
This ability to completely ignore reality is only possible when those who make such decisions have absolute power and zero accountability.
Who owns the NZRFU, the affiliated unions or the head office?
My question is, if we don't chose Henry, who else can step up? Robbie Deans is contracted for the next two or three years. I understand the frustration with Henry but to date I've not seen a suitable replacement mentioned. If we do well in 2011 will all be forgiven?
I daresay that Henry will receive our forgiveness if we win in 2011 Michael. His presence will certainly not stop me supporting the All Blacks, unlike some of those who postured and pouted when Robbie Deans was not appointed. I mean - how can you call yourself a red-blooded Kiwi and cheer for Australia??
But my big worry is this - has familiarity (when Henry) bred contempt? Can he get the best out of his charges? Does HE need to have a sabbatical?
