Two words for Pearl

There's a puff piece in this morning's Herald on Sunday about "socialite" Pearl Going and her "year of cyber-hell". The poor wee thing has made the mistake of getting into a running battle with WhaleOil who has called her out on a number of false claims she has made about herself.

We have two words of advice for Pearl - "heat" and "kitchen" - as in "If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen". WhaleOil revealed during the week that he had received a phone call from the police over this, concerning allegations made in a website he has nothing to do with. This seems to be an exceedingly over-the-top response from Ms Going.

Meanwhile, all this blather over so-called "socialites" is further illustration of how shallow our society has become. We owe WhaleOil a debt of gratitude for exposing this latest wannabe.

IV2 if you read the piece in this morning' SST you might get the impression that Mr Whale had everything to do with said website.

Do you have a link for the SST piece Adolf?

From the HoS piece, I got the impression that Whale HAD been involved with the other site, but wasn't any more.

Nearly as bad as the puff-piece by Holmes on his out of control drug addled daughter.

Reaping what you sow...

PM, I think both pieces are equally bad. I was interested to note that Hine Elder wanted to avoid the story. Am I the only one that has noticed she's changed her name from Elder to Holmes? From the article the mother is keeping herself at a distance.
