Verdict today?

Are we going to get a verdict in the Clayton Weatherston today? We hope so. But Stuff reports that Justice Potter will sum up for the jury this morning, then it will be sent out to deliberate.

But we have to ask - what was Judith Ablett-Kerr thinking yesterday when she questioned the integrity of Sophie Elliott's mother:

The evidence of Elliott's mother, Lesley, that she had not heard her daughter scream "f... you Clayton" before the killing was less than reliable, Ablett-Kerr said.

"With great respect and due deference to her ... what she saw on that day and the trauma she went through must, unfortunately, make her a less than reliable witness as far as detail is concerned."

Comments on this thread will be open once the jury retires.

UPDATE: Stuff reports that the jury is out

UPDATE #2 - The jury has been sent home and will resume its deliberations tomorrow at 9.30am. Comments are closed until the jury reconvenes.

...right, and Clayton himself is reliable? WTF.
