On Sunday night Busted Blond announced to the world that she had received a parcel of documents; interesting documents. It's her story, so we'll let her tell it:
However we have been busy. We have been reading the Meurant Chronicles.
Late last week - in time honoured form we received a parcel of documents.
Euminedes perhaps?
Essentially they are the reports and emails of Ross Meurant while he was employed by Vela fishing at the same time he was employed by Winston Peters.
They are illuminating , sometimes funny, occasionally revealing and often outrageous.
They also mark what we believe were the last days of the worst years of the seafood industry.
They are the documents that Phil Kitchin used as the basis of his expose on Winston Peters a story that broke in the Dominion a couple of days before the election in 2008 on November 1.
Anyway in the next few weeks we are going to release them. As we should - in the name of transparency and openness and history - they relate to the late 1990's and the 2000's.
True to her word, Busted Blond has released the first instalment of the Meurant Chronicles. It tells a tale of backroom manouverings in the run-up to the 1999 elections. We're not going to steal her thunder; this is nothing more than a public service announcement! Let's just say that it is very interesting, and well worth taking a few moments to read. Let's also say that in true foodie fashion, Busted Blond has well and truly whetted our appetite for more. Please! And soon!!

BB has a lot to answer for, her effusive rambling about 'Southern Glory' oysters led to me ending up with 5 dozen of the buggers now vacuum sealed in my freezer, she was right too, they are magnificent!
Just a warning note Medusa; there's no need to tell us whether they all work!
She sure knows her kaimoana though!
LOL can't tell just now as Mr Medusa is awayon the briny for a month checking orange roughy stocks, thats why they're in the freezer *winks*
