In response to the stupid (in our ever-humble) suggestion to install a WELLYWOOD sign on the hill by Wellington Airport, some bright spark has come up with a sign-generating website.If your creative juices are flowing, you can go there and give it your best shot.
According to the Skull and Bones Facebook page there have already been over 4000 signs generated, ranging from the sublime to the ridiculous to a few which are borderline obscene - so exercise caution. Our favourites thus fare state the obvious - Hi! I am a Hill, express opinions on the Mayor - Prenderghastly; and make the inevitable reference to Wellington's weather (with a movie twist) - Gone With the Wind. One submitter even suggests that Wellington is getting a bit big for its boots with TryHardWood!! And of course, what collection would be complete without the iconic 1990's slogan - Bring Back Buck? Yep, it's there!
So if you have a moment to spare this Thursday, there are worse things you could do than pop on over and have a chuckle - go on; you know you want to ....
