Gone are the days of waiting for IRD to roll the new tax tables out. This is where the internet is really helpful. You can go to www.taxguide.govt.nz and work out what your new tax rate is going to be.
Phil Goff can go and work his tax out too. If the reaction so far to the Budget is representative of what New Zealand thinks, Goff has missed another trick. Close-Up's poll was 80%/20% split between positive and negative reaction. Goff would appear to have painted Labour into a tax-and-spend corner.
