We're sure that this result will have been celebrated in many places this morning, but nowhere more than in Ghana. The Uruguayan footballers have been eliminated from the World Cup, and now have to stay around for the match that no-one wants to be involved in; the third and fourth play-off match. There's a bit of perverse justice there.
Cheats may propser for a while, but the good guys usually win in the end!

True INV2 but the Dutch seemed to get away with an element of, shall we say gamesmanship, with their second goal.
Did you see the game - the first two goals were as good as any I have seen in the Cup so far.
I only saw some of the game pdm; had to leave for work at half-time, so MySky has taken care of the second half. It would be even richer irony if the Uruguayans were eliminated by shady practices!
Saw the first goal by the Dutch. It was a great shot that the keeper had no hope of getting to even though he watched it all the away.
Then had to go to work so missed the others.

I2 the real reason that the Urugyans got through was rubbish penalty taking by the Ghanians who spurned a golden opportunity to win.
