Did the earth...?

Apparently, there was an earthquake of reasonable significance in dear old Wanganui an hour or so ago. We were out driving at the time, and didn't feel a thing.

So, if you live on the west coast of the North Island, we have to pose the age-old question; did the earth move for you?

Oh yeah... I probably should have dived under my desk, the ground was 'wobbly' for a full minute afterwards. Instead I jumped on the geonet website... silly geek maybe?

And that was a waste of time, HIS?

The website freezes as the load goes on. Also the drums close to the epicentre appear to be taken offline whilst measurements are made.

I've given up on looking for quake info till at least 30 minutes after the event.
