We've had a great weekend in Melbourne, but all good things come to an end eventually, and our shuttle to Tullamarine airport will be here in an hour or so, and the journey home will begin.
Yesterday was very relaxing. We breakfasted high above Melbourne, with a bay-view table, and the views were spectacular. I've not too often stood in a loo with floor-to-ceiling windows, and watched the world go by below! We lunched in St Kilda, and had an early dinner in Lygon Street. Even early on Sunday evening the dining precinct was lively, with lots of families enjoying a nosh after a day out. We enjoyed the banter with the maitre d's who were offering free drinks, free bread and all other sorts of inducements to walk through their doors!
Other than that, we made plenty of use of public transport, thanks to the $3 Super Sunday passes, and I mostly managed to keep Mrs Inventory away from the shops! That will wait for another visit; we shall return!
