Emmerson has a gift of making complex issues visually simple, and that's evident again this morning, together with a rare dose of poignancy. Indeed, never a truer word spoken. We must never, ever let the death of one of our finest stop us from the protection of innocent lives.
Afghanistan is no joke. We are not there to play tiddlywinks, we are there to stop murderous terrorist scum who wish to enslave the population. The alternative may be far, far from perfect but it *is* a step in the right direction.
