Scientific polling II

We're pleased to see that the polling on the Australian election is all totally scientific - the Herald reports:

While the fame of Paul the Octopus died with the end of the soccer World Cup, there is now a new psychic force predicting the outcomes of contests.

Darwin's "Harry the Crocodile", who picked Spain to win in South Africa, believes Julia Gillard will come out above Tony Abbott in Australia's general election this Saturday, Australian media reported.

Harry's handlers gained knowledge of the result by placing two photos of Ms Gillard and Mr Abbot with chicken underneath, each at an equal distance from the reptile.

Although he took a minute to make up his mind, eventually Harry snapped up the chicken from beneath Ms Gillard's picture.

It's good to see that people are taking the Australian election as seriously as it deserves to be taken. We wonder however if the methodology in this poll was flawed, and that in devouring the Gillard chicken, Harry the Croc was actually making a statement about Julia Gillard's rolling of Kevin Rudd!

Anyway, it's not long until the Australians go to the polls, and we will be interested to see who prevails. It sounds as though it's going to be a much closer contest than last time.

Nope. RadioSocialism NZ, the Australian Base of Communism, the Australian Newspaper, and Newspoll are call calling in for Abbott!!

Clear majority to govern. Gillard thrown onto the scrapheap. By 2012 there will be no Labour govts left in Aussie!

It's been tough but its looking fucking sweet now!!

The Mad Monk as PM - Great. I still remember when he got the cops to baton-charge the Sydney Dockers! Fucking Excellent!

No, it's because Julia "Woody Woodpecker" Gillard looks much more like his natural prey...
