Yep, as you read this, we're about to board a plane to Australia. Fear not though; we're only going to be gone a few days. We like visiting the place, but we really couldn't imagine living there, and upping sticks with our business wouldn't be feasible.
We're headed for Melbourne where we're mixing business with pleasure. We're lamenting the fact that the business section couldn't have been last weekend, when we might have had the chance to watch the All Blacks demolish the Wallabies.
We'll be checking in from time to time depending on whether the budget runs to hotel internet, but we also have a few posts in the can. We'll be around and about on Monday (between flights), so check in from time to time, and you never know what we might have found of interest to post on!
Behave yourselves in the meantime, and if you're going to AMI Stadium on Saturday night, wrap up well! See you all soon.

Hi INVII, and welcome to Melbourne!! I wouldn't waste my time on hotel internet though. Many cafes and takeaway joints in the city have free wireless internet, including the McDonald's at the top of Collins Street and Bluestone Cafe on the corner of Bourke & William. ANZ is sponsoring a free internet in cafes initiative, so more & more are offering a "buy a coffee, get internet" deal.
Free internet at the hotel Gantt Guy, though not wireless. Just returned from a quick bite on Lygon Street, and now it's time for zzzzz's. Haven't worked out if/where I'll be able to watch the rugger tomorow night, as we are going to a show.
It's on Channel 7 at 2am ... likely just after you get back from your show.
If you're going for a bite afterwards, stay away from Grossi Florentino at the top of Bourke Street ... the worst dining experience I've had in my 7 years here.
Glad you're enjoying the place, and you're right (in your other post) about the public transport.
