I haven’t read or seen the Day of a Jackel but a friend did 26 years ago, and he was really interested in seeing if he could assasinate a Head of State just to see if he could get away with it.
He made all the arrangements for the assasination – buying the weapons on the black market etc – but then didn’t go through with using them, and just destroyed them some time later.
Of course, this was all in the past and of no interest to anyone when my friend decided to stand for Parliament, which is why I have never mentioned it before.
