Comment of the Day

We saw this comment over at the Dim Post, on a thread regarding David Garret and Act's woes. It's one of the better comments we've seen on this messy business, and we reckon it's worth drawing attention to - here 'tis:

I haven’t read or seen the Day of a Jackel but a friend did 26 years ago, and he was really interested in seeing if he could assasinate a Head of State just to see if he could get away with it.

He made all the arrangements for the assasination – buying the weapons on the black market etc – but then didn’t go through with using them, and just destroyed them some time later.

Of course, this was all in the past and of no interest to anyone when my friend decided to stand for Parliament, which is why I have never mentioned it before.

In a similar vein - Heather Roy should be grateful Garrett didn't read "Silence of the Lambs".
