If it's good enough for Matt Jones from the Unite union to organise a Tour of Shame, it's good enough for us. The only difference is that we won't leave our couch.
And there are no prizes for guessing the destination of our tour; it's Christchurch, following in the footsteps of Matt Jones. Watch the video from tonight's One News to see Comrade Jones in all his glory.
Has Matt Jones forgotten that Christchurch had a major earthquake just two weeks ago? Surely, the resources of Unite could have been better utilised today than pulling a stunt for the television cameras. Whilst a law student by the name of Sam Johnson has become a hero for mobilising Christchurch students to get out and help in the community, Matt Jones deserves nothing but condemnation for his self-seeking publicity stunts and anti-employer rhetoric, neither of which seem to have much in the way of facts to justify them.
And while we're at it, TVNZ can hang its head in shame for giving Jones oxygen, and for scheduling this tawdry story so high in the bulletin. Ought we not expect better from a Qantas Award-winning news network?

WTF. Look at that picture, second from the left is a little kid holding a sign. It is bad enough these idiots are publicly making fools of themselves but now they are ruining the minds of small children with their drivel.
