Trouble in Castor Bay

WhaleOil's blog makes interesting reading this morning. And not surprisingly, the subject making it interesting is one of his election rivals - read on:

At tonights May­oral debate in Cas­tor Bay on the North Shore Andrew Williams made an arse of him­self again.

I have have received numer­ous reports from atten­dees shocked at his drunk­e­ness and bully stand-over tac­tics against John Banks.

Since he posted that, the Whale has had an e-mail from Williams, sent reasonably late at night, as is his wont. Andrew Williams is trying to ban Cam Slater from contacting anyone connected to the local body elections. Williams writes:

Be advised I have spo­ken to the Police today and also pre­vi­ously to the elec­toral office in rela­tion to your ongo­ing harass­ment, both pri­vately and also in your posi­tion as a can­di­date in the Albany ward.

Now we think the Mad Mayor might have a small credibility problem here. One of his own councillors confirms some of the allegations made by Cam Slater. Cr Chris Darby has posted this on his Facebook page:

So who does one believe; the blogger, or the Leaky Mayor? We know whose version of events we prefer. We reckon that Andrew Williams' days of supping from the public trough are fast coming to a close.
