Give us strength!

We hate to keep going on about Chris Carter, but what we are hearing today really takes the biscuit. After telling Newstalk ZB that he's being victimised and that Lockwood Smith is putting the boot in, Carter has outdone himself, even by his excessive standards.

We've just heard the 11am news on RadioLive, where Carter has described the Speaker's decision to fine him $10 per sitting day that he's failed to turn up for as "the last straw", Carter has delivered the real clincher. The reason that he's so upset by all of this is that it - wait for it - damaging his reputation!! Can you believe it?

We read this in the Herald earlier:

Labour leader Phil Goff has labelled Chris Carter a "narcissist" and says the public thinks the ousted MP is "a jerk".

We never thought we'd see the day, but we agree 100% with Phil Goff. That's not to say that there are no issues with Goff's leadership, but Carter's outlandish behaviour is now playing into Goff's hands.

And at the end of the day, there is only one person who has damaged Chris Carter's reputation.
That person is Chris Carter.

The `jerk' bit reminded of this joke when I was at primary school in the 50's.

`Train stops with a jerk. The jerk gets off'.

Alright, alright, it's pretty feeble but then so are Carter and Goff.
