Golden Ferns

You bloody beauties!

We've just got home in time to see the last few minutes of the two-goal advantage stage of extra time in the Commonwealth Games netball final at Delhi.

What a match; we listened in the car on the way hiome from Wairarapa, and we lived through the peaks and the troughs; conceding a lead, then pulling it back; getting a seven-goal advantage, then losing it again. 47-all at the end of regulation time. And at last, after around 20 minutes of extra time the Silver Ferns have triumphed to retain their Commonwelath Games title with a 66-64 victory.

The Silver Ferns are jubilant; the Australians were gallant and gracious in defeat. And it's a final gold medal for New Zealand. Now bed is beckoning!

I dont think so!

No, they weren't Anon; they actually showed some emotion. For some that is a crime; not for us; it was a joy to watch!

No I dont think showing emotion is a crime. Adults rolling around on the floor embracing each other is just plain embarrasing. At least they were
not running around with their arms out trying to get airborne like soccer players.
