On the road - yet again

It's been a heck of a week, and if we counted our work hours, we'd probably get a nasty surprise; they'd already be somewhere near the retirement age! We're feeling a bit like retirement as well, so we're heading south for the weekend for a bit of Labour Weekend R&R.

The weather forecast sounds particularly promising; Labour Weekend is not generally regarded for settled weather, but this year looks as if it will be the exception to the rule.

And if the sun IS indeed shining tomorrow, we might just wander down to Hagley Park. There's a big concert going on in Hagley Park to lift the spirits of everyone in Canterbury. Today's Press has the line-up, and, for a free show (most appealing to the Scot in us!) there's a fantastic line-up of local talent.

But fear not; blogging will continue largely unfettered, and we plan to be well rested by the time we return to the North Island at the end of the weekend. So whatever you are doing this weekend, be safe, and enjoy the last long weekend before Christmas!
