A Supercity Special caption contest!
It's not long now until we know whether Len Brown or John Banks will become the first mayor of the new Auckland Supercity. So let's celebrate by testing your wit and imagination - what might John Banks and Len Brown be saying to one another, or better still, what might they be thinking and NOT saying?

Not a caption Invent, but when I saw all of those mayors wearing their metal neclaces, I thought 'chain gang'.

Today sometime around noon Invent but I'll be in the middle of a grafting demonstration at Winton (It''ll be difficult to do with all of my fingers crossed I imagine!)and will just have to wait til I get home to find out. Oh dear. Your taking a caption contest seriously now? How thin is your skin if you're stung into a response by the imagined words of an invitation to provide a fictional caption????? How over-earnest can you be????
