We may have featured this song from Day of Fire before; but it kept popping up in our consciousness this morning.
We've seen Day of Fire play live a couple of times at Parachute Festival. They're loud, lead singer Joshua Brown has some serious ink, and our then-teenage daughter was grossed out when we headed for the mosh-pit while DoF was on stage! Brown formerly fronted a band called Full Devil Jacket, and lived the rock lifestyle. After OD'ing on heroin, he had a life-changing encounter with God which is chronicled here.
Brown still looks and sounds like a rocker on stage, but the lyrics of the songs he pens are very, very different. We met him one time at Parachute, and his appearance belies the humble follower of Jesus within. And his music connects with a demographic which is unlikely to ever darken the doors of a church; God indeed moves in mysterious ways!
Enjoy Cornerstone ...
