Homeward bound

The holiday is almost over. We're about to board the big silver bird to fly northwards and on to home.

At least we don't have to go back to work until Wednesday, so there is still some rest to be had. This has been a wonderful break, and it couldn't have come a moment too soon; we were absolutely knackered by the end of the work year. Several books, a number of sleep-ins, far too much food and a few walks later, we are refreshed and raring to go, although one more week would be great! Sadly, that's impossible.

But one of the changes we have made moving into 2011 is to schedule regular pit-stops where Mrs Inventory and I will get away and recharge our batteries before they go completely and utterly flat. It's a regime that we intend to keep to, but we're only too aware that the road to hell is paved with good intentions, so that will be at the back of our minds. For now though we are ready for whatever 2011 throws at us!

Happy New Year to you Inv. We're heading back North today too but at least I have another week until I need to contemplate shoes, long trousers and shaving...
