You can read a bit more about the above poster at Gotcha or at Kiwiblog. We're not going to dignify it by providing any more detail.
What we will say though is this; freedom of speech is one thing, but advocating the shooting of a Cabinet Minister is a step too far. These posters ought be torn down and consigned to the dustbin or the fireplace. Whoever is the instigator, this kind of message has no place in New Zealand. We would hope that the People Not Profit Collective's actions are denounced across the political spectrum.

Both you and Farrar are doing the poster-makers a great service by broadcasting their work across the internet Inv2. They'll be very pleased with you.
Perhaps Robert; perhaps not. But what are your thoughts on the poster itself? Do you like the photoshopped bullet wound on Collins' forehead. Is this the direction that you're keen to see anti-government sentiment expressed?
Attacking the messenger(s) again, eh Robert? We can't even tell from your comment whether you are opposed to the particularly ugly insinuations in this political poster.
Inventory and Farrar make their feelings very clear, and I'm with them. What about you?
"All that is needed for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing." Edmund Burke
Well siena - I certainly agree with the quote you provided.
The poster is very unpleasant and reminds me of the 'Mugabe' posters David Farrar had distributed around the country prior to the last elections. Do you remember those? They likened the then Prime Minister to the despot Robert Mugabe. I don't recall whether Inv2 covered those on his blog but he'll be able to tell us. No doubt he was pretty disgusted by those as well.
Inv2?
And Inv2, don't you see the irony in giving your post the title,
"Tear it down",
when what you've done is put it up?
The first thing we must do, of course, is ensure the people involved in People not Profit get no benefit from any profit made, anywhere.
Of course the fact that the Mugabe poster was alluding to the dictatorship and the gross abusing of political right of the minorities in his country which in the light of constraints of the EFA coupled with the enhancement of electability of the regime's acolytes by blatant bribery ie expanding welfare WFF and expansion of the numbers working for the government. The Collins poster merely advocates shooting a cabinet which I would have thought socialists would have opposed vehemently after their fruitless attempts to link the Arizona tragedy to the teaparty movement and Sarah Palin by inferring her "Crosshairs"(widely discredited as entirely out of context) campaign against Congressman Gifford.
But don't let a few inconvenient facts get in the way of any attack against a politician accepted my many to be doing a very good job.
"The Collins poster merely advocates shooting a cabinet"
Seems harmless enough to me GD.
You're a supporter of the Mugabe posters?
Quelle surprise!
GD - speaking of dictators ..
for your reading pleasure and i hope, comment.

:-)
You are a sick poster to disseminate such a sick poster.
Of course it's vile. Just what is your motivation for reproducing it, apart for your vile obsession with copying and pasting?
@ Robert - I'm happy to have you post links, but only when they are relevant to the substantive post. A link to a post on Key and Mubarak is not.
God could intervene of course. Or has he already by allowing his child to create such a disgusting poster and put it up. Or he could do nothing. Or do everything. Hmmm... wwhich one is it. This God of ours.. soooo pro-active. So omnipotent!
Key's comment is pretty disturbing though Inv2.
What did you make of the Dim Post post?
I didn't see the interview with Key Robert, so no comment; stick to the subject; you have your own blog if you want to cancass opinion.
It does not need to be torn down. It needs to be published far and wide, accompanied by the portraits and details of those behind people, not profit
Yeah Ciaron, because that's constructive. Give them publicity; like they care whether it's negative or not.
What is your reason for taking their abhorent strategy and ramping it up a notch?
Didn't realise you hadn't seen the interview with Key Inv2.
Here's the link with another embedded, to the video of the interview.
Then you'll be all empowered and able to comment!
What Anon? whould you rather it was hidden away? exposing these people for derision is a prudent action, look, who takes the National Front seriously now?
What's a 'national front'? A countrywide weather system or John Key in puppet mode?
What's a 'national front'?
well, for the terminally stupid they frequently change their name and logo etc., but its still the usual suspects... currently they call themselves the right wing resistance or something equally silly
Ok, so it is offensive, but so is creating a socio-economic situation which increases crime (this has been a 30 - 40 year project for the right). If it takes posters like this to drive the message home, then so be it.
Consider this? Which countries have the greatest number of shootings? Clue - it is the ones where the police are armed.
Sort out poverty, sort out education, sort out job opportunities, then you will see crime decrease.
Anyone with half a brain would realise this is actually an anti violence campaign, nobody is advocating that someone should shoot JC. They have had enough of the rampant Police abuse in this country, of which I have had first-hand experience. Having my arrest/charge thrown out when it went to court is little comfort when you've been battered and bruised by some of these uniformed power-tripping thugs that hold all the power. Had they had guns I might be dead. The poster is merely saying people are going to get shot, "You first Collins".
This is a totally offensive poster and does the group People not Profit Collective no credit whatsoever.
I note they did not have the guts to put their name and address on the poster but rather hide behind a veil of anonymity.
