It's Friday again, AND April Fools' Day, and we thought we'd heard an AFD joke on the radio this morning; Michael Campbell was in a tie for sixth in the latest European Tour event after an opening round of 3-under par. But no; it's true; well done Cambo, and keep it going for 72 holes!
The ICC has got its dream World Cup final; India versus Sri Lanka at Mumbai. It's Murali's last international match, and it's at Sachin Tendulkar's home ground. The Little Master has a chance to create history tomorrow night; who would bet against him scoring his 100th international century in this match of matches? The pitch at Wankhede Stadium should be a belter, and the atmosphere will be electric. Much as it would be nice for New Zealand to be able to say that it was beaten by the World Cup winners, we reckon that India has too much all-round prowess.
We haven't even looked at what rugby and league awaits this weekend. We're yet to actually watch a full match live this season, and perhaps when Daylight Saving ends at the weekend, we'll feel a bit more enthusiastic about the winter codes. Feel free to fill in the gaps; James Stevenson promised a rant about the Hurricanes on Monday, but it hasn't eventuated, so he has his forum today. Rant away JS!!
That's about it from us today. Doubtless we've missed something significant, so feel free to fill in the gaps; the floor, as always, is yours....

I also was a little suspicious when the Campbell item was aired, cant be far from calling it quits can he?
Disagree on India though, Sachin had the enormous luck to survive, 4 catches was it?
Cynic says what was the bookie paying compared to a finals cheque.
If India are chasing a high 200 score and "slinger" hits the toes. What is it with that Mystery spinner, looks eminently hittable from my recliner. Murili is running, no make that limping on emotion is he not.
Waiting with baited breath for the Hurricanes response to Mark Hammet's bollicking, the media aren't sure either. Crusaders are relishing the bye after what must have been a sapping mental and physical trip to Twickers.
Highlanders - Brumbies.
I'm picking the Highlanders to return to the winners circle again.
Go the 'lankans! Would love to see the Indians miss their own party.
Other than that, teaching the oldest boy to spiral pass before his 1st season of rugby starts.
I reckon the only NZ team to struggle will be the Hurricanes but they might surprise me...I can see the Highlanders winning the next three games...and over in Jo'burg I reckon those flashy Reds are going to get done over by the Lions...must check the odds down at the TAB...
Alex - if said son is a back teach him how to draw and pass as well. It is a lost art.
