At last. After a totally frustrating day yesterday, Blogger is finally back online this morning, and blogging can resume with some semblance of normality, whatever that is.
Blogger crashed globally at around 8.45am yesterday morning, just as we were about to hit the "publish" button on our This Sporting Life post. Apparently Google did some maintenance in Wednesday USA time, which patently didn't work, and Blogger crashed. What looked as if it was going to be a quick fix dragged on...and on...and on...and on, and the problem was still unresolved when we headed to bed last night.
Mercifully, things are almost back to normal this morning, although we've lost a couple of posts and all the comments that accompanied them. And the things we planned to blog about yesterday may or may not still have legs; we'll wait and see. In the meantime, if somewhere has a link to a "how-to" site which will teach the technical neanderthals that we are to migrate Keeping Stock lock, stock and barrel to Wordpress, please post it in the comments; we're ready to make the move!

IMHO blogger is far better than wordpress, it has a better editor, is more flexible and loads faster.
Under the covers blogger Feeds leave WP for dead, which might not matter much to you but the do to me
WP has had its issues too remember.
Dear Inventory 2.
I shared your frustration yesterday. I find you one of the more thoughtful bloggers around.
I see you took out some of your frustration by taking to that nutter Penny Brighton Kiwiblog yesterday.
I therefore thought you might like to ponder this post which was put on the NBR site by a friend of Trevor Mallard.
Of course it is sordid, we are talking about a letter from on Don "sordid is my middle name" Brash. It is interesting to see all you righties getting so excited about the new ACT. His opponents just need to get some woman to dress up in heels and fishnets and he will literally be screwed. You could even dress Penny Bright up and he would have a go.

Aside from being somewhat stomach turning do you think that this is a confession that a honey trap is being planned for Don? Could Penny Bright really pull this off? And why were all the really juicy e-mails to and from Don not leaked to Nicky H? Or were they and does Nicky H have these in reserve should there be a second coming (excuse the pun)?
Very interesting Anon; very interesting indeed. Do you happen to have a link to that NBR comment; I'd be interested to check out the exchange.
I would not be at all surprised in Labour tries to smear Brash; after all, it was Mallard who made the "speaking of affairs .." interjection back in 2006.
