It's an abbreviated Sporting Life today. James Stephenson is doing a wonderful job covering the Tour de France when he's not flying to Sydney, and we'll preview the Super Rugby final tomorrow.
But the Warriors are at home tonight, hosting the Gold Coast Titans. It's simply a must-win match for the home side, if they want to play play-off football. With Michael Luck, Kevin Locke and Sam Rapira back in action they'll be a much stronger side, but there's a very large monkey on their back that needs to be got shot of tonight.
And how good is young Jacko Gill? He has blitzed his opposition at the World Youth Championships in France, winning the shot put by more than FOUR METRES over his closest opponent. In the process he broke his own world record no less than three times, adding half a matre to the record he set in New Zealand earlier in the year. Here's the winning put:
Well done Jacko. He's only 16, and the IAAF still won't allow him to compete at senior level, even though he wants to compete at the London Olympics next year.
That's it from us for today; the floor, such as it is; is yours...

Stephenson with a 'ph' Inv! Unfortunately my PC has packed a sad and is at the doctors, iPhone posting is firmly in the Too Hard basket so any TdF related wisdom will have to wait until later this arvo.
