So we noted this comment in the Dom-Posts Politics Briefs with some interest:
BLOGOSPHERE 'FERALS' MAKEthe hard word might have been put CURRAN CIRCUMSPECT
Labour MP Clare Curran was unusually quiet on social media yesterday. Usually a prolific Tweeter, she posted no 140-character updates. Perhaps the party's communications and IT spokeswoman was feeling bruised by the storm her Red Alert blog posts created. Ms Curran came under fire for attacking the Greens and appearing to expect support from the Left rather than earning it. She denied she was ordered to keep quiet by party bosses, adding that she didn't want to fuel "people going feral" in the blogosphere.
Whaddya reckon Dear Readers; was Clare Curran's Twitter and blog silence yesterday self-imposed? Or do you think that the hard word might have been put on her by someone higher up Labour's food chain?
Perhaps Clare took the advice we so helpfully offered her yesterday; when you're in a hole; stop digging!

Moderation is actively in force over at the Red Lerts shop. The tone has changed today.
I reckon the upper hierarchy ferals over there have issued a diktat if you're not on message, it will be deleted. As for white-anters, one can assume being an upcoming list MP for the Auckland Islands would be too good.
Hey Inv2.
Your post is all about whether Clare Curran has be pressured to blog and tweet less.
Blog and tweet less.
Are you pressuring me Rob?
I don't think Labour's blog is doing much to convince voters they're ready for government. Quite the opposite I suspect.
Meh. The next step for Clear will be emulating 'Anne', a Labour lickspittle on the collective joke-blog SUBstandard, and refer to the voters as "thick as two short planks" because they don't understand Liarbore's policy.

We quote from NoRightTurn, eh.
To her credit, Curran has now apologised:
Another is that it’s important to acknowledge mistakes. I made one this week. For that I apologise. It was never my intention to argue entitlement to a share of the votes.
I have to earn votes. Whether it be personally or for the Party. And I’ll be judged, along with everyone else standing on November 26.
This is good to see. Its phenomenally easy to make a dick of yourself on the internet. Its harder to admit that you've done so. Especially when you're a politician, and the media sees such admissions as a weakness rather than a strength. But I'd rather have politicians who admit when they've screwed up, rather than ones who arrogantly insist they are infallible.
Yes; she did apologise Robert. Unfortunately, readers may not be able to tell from the post which are your words and which are Clare's, so for for clarity, the middle two paragraphs are the quote.
Maybe Clare should have left it there, because she went on to say:
I don’t want to relitigate the issue here. Though it’s important to keep the conversation going.
I am and remain committed to open-ness and transparency in communication with you all. Even if it’s painful.
Using six paragraphs when two would suffice seems to be a common trait amongst polticians. And often para's 3-6 undo the goos work of the first two.
Just my opinion, of course.
PS - hard luck about the Ranfurly Shield
Using six paragraphs when two would suffice seems to be a common trait amongst politicians.
Errr bloggers you mean. Even if it is mainly cut and paste from the MSM or Whaleoil.
Brevity rocks!
