The "sugar-coated Satan sandwich" remark is going to go down as the defining comment of the debt debacle, given that it was uttered by one of President Obama's own. The deal now is signed, sealed and delivered; time will tell whether the debt crisis has been averted, or merely deferred.

Raising the debt limit to cure the monetry crisis is a bit like raising the blood/alcohol level to cure the drink/driving problem.
