Twitter or Twits?

We blogged on Sunday about Labour list MP Stuart Nash's rather injudicious remarks about one of Hawke's Bay's largest employers. Just in the last few minutes, Nash has made a bit of a twit of himself on Twitter with this comment:

Stuart Nash MP
Key is such a smug prick.

Oh dear. That certainly qualifies as a SMOG; a Social Media Own Goal. It's also indicative of Labour's increasing desperation to land a hit on the PM. It would seem that Stuart Nash has been chilling out with fellow Napier resident Michael Cullen, who famously used a similar epithet to describe Key before the 2008 election. At the time Nash tweeted, John Key was running rings around Phil Goff on the first question in Question Time.

And he's not alone in the SMOG stakes today; Darien Fenton has just re-tweeted the following (repeated a tweet from another Twitter user, for the uninitiated):

john key back in smug n make shit up mode in the house,

Oh dear, oh dear! As the election draws nearer and the polls widen rather than get closer, it seems that ad hominems will become Labour's Standard Operating Procedure. We can only presume that a new Advice to the Team list has been circulated by master strategist Trevor Mallard and his predecessor Pete Hodgson.

You really should try and keep up.
Michael Cullen left Napier a couple of years ago and now graces the Bay of Plenty community of Ohope Beach.
The rest of your blog posting is, however, 100% correct.

Thanks for that Alwyn. So is that Napier's loss and Ohope's gain, or vice versa?

That must cost him a small fortune when he has to go to head office of NZPost.
Hang on we pay don't we, Rich Prick!

I love the way they hate, a harsh description but!!, JK. They went for him way back when he 1st announced he was entering politics and have NOT stopped since. They new he was a disaster to their cause straight away.
Not sure if Walter would be happy with his behaviour.

It may have been a typo but Jacinda Ardern was most vile about the town that educated her.
