Laid low

The whanau is shifting tomorrow and Saturday. We've been planning, packing and decluttering for a few weeks, and are ready to go.

Almost! Today we've come down with a particularly nasty and virulent "both ends bug" that has knocked us for six. Is there something doing the rounds at the moment; if so, how long is it lasting?

So blogging might take a back seat for the next wee while whilst our system rids itself of whatever has brought this on. Then we 'll be needing to make sure that the wireless and Sky switchovers go according to plan so at least we'll have technology if indisposed. In the meantime, we wouldn't wish what we've got on anyone!

Sorry to hear that Inv2.
If you've got a koromiko growing in your garden, take 12 leaves and chew on those. They're bitter but the best thing for what ails you. The Maori battalion used them during the war when no 'western' medicines were effective. Maori women here in Aotearoa sent the leaves over by the wool bale full.
...just on the phone to a woman who says ground charcoal is what you need. Mix it with honey and swallow it down. She uses that remedy on her lambs and swears by it.
Hope you're better soon.

There's never a good time for a stomach but but in the middle of shifting is particularly inconvenient.

One of our staff had a similar lurgy this week and it took a couple of days to get over.

Drink as much as you can - water or gastrolite - to wash out the bugs.

Coming out of both ends eh?

That vivid description sounds a lot like what professional blog troll expert bubbagayton writes here.

Cheers to you however.

Been a wee bit awol lately Iv2, best wishes. I always blame the food never the liquor.
Roberts cure sounds good, distraction therapy works sometimes. Personally I would take it after watching Robert take it first, accidental poisoning is a bitch.

Then if its 'man flue', a cure will be observed just after the moving is completed.
