In breaking news, Twitter is going nuts with reports of the death of the co-founder of Apple, Steve Jobs. Mr Jobs has been ill for some time, and recently stood down from the role of CEO of Apple, so his death is not entirely unexpected.
The Apple website says:
The world has lost a visionary and an innovator who transformed the way we communicate. RIP Steve Jobs

A great mind lost. Cancer is a blind disease merciless.

Two threads to comment on, Iv2.
First, in IMMHO, Steve Jobs masterminded and led some of the most revolutionary changes to human daily life - the full effects we will not feel for decades - by which time there will be other equally life-changing influences. His legacy is impossible to put into words, but his passing is a huge loss.
Second, it is significant that in his own country where they have spent over 60 billion dollars in the "fight against cancer" a group of self-serving, greedy pharmaceutical 'giants' have managed to maintain the 'growth-rate' of cancer to a level that is close to epidemic. In 40 years progress in stemming this killer disease is virtually non-existant. Steve Jobs, and millions of others die because the drug industry has no desire in finding a 'cure' for cancer - it would not be good for their business.
It is very sad that Mr Jobs has died. His was a wonderful mind.
@fredinthegrass Only god can decide to allow a cure for any disease – everything is god's will. i think INV2 will support this idea. God is 'the market' and 'pharmaceutical giants' and 'diseases' and 'victims'.
Vaya con dios Steve.
Thank you for your vision.
Steve Jobs did a great contribution in his chosen field and I am grateful for what he had done in keeping my work easier. He will be remembered. Tim of depuy asr recall
