Celebration
Courtesy of our friends at Motella, we have obtained this exclusive picture of New Zealand First's victory celebration last night.
And there's absolutely no truth in the rumour that Andrew Williams was outside acquainting himself with the native flora when the photograph was taken!
I wonder how old that photo is. About ten years ago I inherited a couple of clients who strongly resembled this couple. Pillars of the Havelock North Presbyterian church and in a strong financial position.
If it is them both are now deceased as I recall she was 89 and he was 92 or 93.
It's funny to take the piss out of the elderly, especially the ones who fought in the wars and now have age related health or psychological issues isn't it Creeping Schlock?
I wouldn't want my parents being ridiculed. However Winston Peters and Andrew Williams are fair game for ridicule: it is very offensive they are now getting paid for the next three years by the taxpayer without managing to secure an electorate seat..
I agree Anonymous it is bloody offensive, but what the right should be asking themselves is why is Winston back.
The answer is of course the Key / Banks fiasco that breathed enough life into his campaign to convince voters like me to give him my party vote in an attempt to stop asset sales happening.
The right are deluded if they think Winstons vote came from " The Bewildered" and Labour has now learnt that the hard way.
Is this Winstons last revival? Probably I doubt that the MP's he is bringing back will endear themselves to the public although a review of MMP could change that.
