Metiria's SMOG

She shoots; she scores!

Although up until now it has predominantly been Labour MP's scoring SMOG's (Social Media Own Goals), Green Party co-leader Metiria Turei has joined in the scoring action. Commenting on Twitter yesterday on the release of National's environment policy, she managed this gem (unedited):

Metiria Turei
That's what i read havent seen the NatParty enviro policy bt assume its just one page with "FUCK IT" written on the middle

Just when the Greens are starting to have people sit up and take notice of them as a credible alternative to Labour, Ms Turei can't resist. Perhaps that's why Dr Russel Norman has been the far more visible of the two co-leaders of the Greens.

Still, it's clear that Labour is rattled by the Greens' surge in the polls at Labour's expense; why else would they be stealing all the Greens' policies?

Maybe I should ask her about it at a candidate meeting we'll be at in Dunedin tonight.

Just imagine everyone how terrible and small the national party supporters must feel having to support ACT as the only way to dishonestly john the country into a right wing debacle. Disgusting. And a real indictment on Key if he goes down that road. The intelligent voters win other parts of the country will punish the Nats for this. NO ONE WANTS ACT in parliament. They are bereft of morals and new ideas.

Driving around Auckland today there were a couple of Green billboards completely demolished whilst all other parties were in good orer. Is the Labour nasty party changing focus onto those "stealing" their votes?

"John Key refuses to talk to The Nation so we've gone in search of him. Narelle Suisted follows the Key campaign and finds that its endless photo opportunities are carefully planned stage shows. She also tracks down two Ministers the Nats are trying to keep away from the cameras. One is so anxious to avoid the limelight things turn slightly strange. "
