We've woken to the sound of rain on the roof this morning; the brief spell of nice weather we've had has well and truly broken.
It certainly has been and up-and-down summer in these parts. A friend who is a lawnmowing contractor is bemoaning the fact that he's not getting any respite over summer; as soon as growth slows down, we get another burst of rain, and the grass starts growing again! But it's good news for the cockies who surround us; the pastures are as green and lush as we've ever seen them in February.
Not to worry; today will be spent indoors anyway, and we'll just have to find an innovative way to dry the washing from the weekend. In the meantime, the rain continues...
