They can't get along

All's not well with the defiant members of Occupy Wellington; the Dom-Post reports:

A protester was arrested overnight and a molotov cocktail was found this morning at the Occupy Wellington site in Civic Square.

Several protesters were on the site in their sleeping bags this morning, the day after Wellington City Council evicted about 20 remaining campers from the City to Sea Bridge.

A wine bottle filled with petrol was found at the City to Sea Bridge this morning.

CCTV footage was being reviewed and inquiries were on going, Inspector Paris Razos said.

But here comes the bit the made us chuckle; read on:

Meanwhile, a protester was arrested and removed from the camp last night.

Police were called to the site just after midnight following an incident between two of the remaining protesters.

A person was charged with assault and released on bail to appear in Wellington District Court on Friday, Mr Razos said.

"The incident did appear to involve something being thrown or a person being hit with something.”

The person was not seriously injured but, suffered a sore head, Mr Razos said.

Now we don't know how many occupiers defied the law and went back last night, but we suspect that it wasn't very many. Yet even then there's infighting, they can't get along, and the Police have to be called!

So much for being united for the cause. This latest episode merely amplifies how ineffective and irrelevant the Occupy movement has become.

A bit like a fight between the Mongrel Mob and Black Power - who cares who gets hurt as long as it does not include innocent bystanders, the police or other peoples property.
